‘Biovet Canteen and Office'

Located in the Industrial district of Malur, The Biovet Pvt Ltd commissioned us to upgrade their campus to match their state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities. They wanted something that makes a statement. Grand and inviting yet elegant and traditional. A space that would impress their clients while giving them a taste of our heritage and culture.

As a part of revamping the campus we worked on multiple buildings that all had a similar design language and a cohesive look and feel.

Our first approach to this task at hand was to consider the surrounding of the campus. Malur, is known for its brick factories. One of the largest producers of clay bricks in Karnataka, the landscape of Malur is dotted with towering brick factories that give it a post-industrial feel. This was our initial inspiration for the form of the building being an ode to post-industrial architecture. We decided that the building will have an exposed brick façade.

There were two structures we mainly focused on in the campus – Then entrance gateway and a 3 storied building that houses the office and canteen. Both these buildings had many technical specifications that needed to be followed, hence getting the spatial zoning and the plan was very crucial.
