‘Rooted Japandi Home’
Studio Skapa Architects attempt to revamp a Shambolic Apartment residence into a Wabi-Sabi wedded Hygge inspired living space, however embracing a Traditional influence throughout.

The Transition of a ‘Space’ to a ‘Place’ transpires when a Space becomes responsive to Human activity, capturing the warmth of a place. The Rooted Japandi Home, situated in the Bangalore suburbs that inspired R.K Naryanan’s fictional town of Malgudi, Malleshwaram, seemed to have trapped this warmth away with its Tousled furniture and crabbed movement.
